JACKET SZN
autumn was created for jackets and jackets only. i consider myself to be a jacket aficionado, i have two full closets of jackets between my apartment and my parents’ house. always look for real leather, wool, and genuine sherpa, if possible. my jackets are never pleather, which i find to be less of a social statement and more of an excuse to churn out cheaper garments. here are a few of my current favorites that i decided not to keep to myself.
babaton bonham trench
suede all day, baby. a twist on your basic camel-colored trench.
twill combo denim jacket
imagine this decked out in pins & patches. our two favorite overused jackets combined into one unique masterpiece. finally, a military jacket you can wear without feeling like a basic.
zero jacket
it’s like somebody crawled into my brain for inspiration…or maybe i’m just mind numbingly trendy.
patagonia retro-x jacket/space dye oatmeal
classic Patagonia jacket in a warm neutral color. you could say i’m a fan…i have at least 3 of these and 2 of the Retro-X vests.
GRLFRND charlie Leather Moto Jacket
the snatched waist of this leather jacket is perfect. another totally overused item that is difficult to find done right. pebbled leather elevates the look and the unique shape defies the the typical influencer pleather moto jacket.
batwinged leather jacket
if a Starter jacket came in leather. this is the ultimate retro silhouette—blousy torso and cropped sleeves, leather epaulets, with cinch waist, and stitching design on the sleeves.
teddy sherpa coat
i generally despise the teddy jacket, having seen swarms of similarly clad college girls sporting some cheap variation of the look in boring tan, but the quality, length, and color make this coat. i swear by a j.crew coat.
caron callahan paddington jacket
insulated denim with a vintage patchwork style. very “grandma-core”. reminds me of that movie where the girl was murdered by a nearly unrecognizable Stanley Tucci and stuck in purgatory for some reason.
